Cell Queue was established 2016 by Michael Reily who was graduated in 1974 with a degree in Biological Sciences from the University of California, Santa Barbara. During his time there, he was actively engaged in the study of microorganisms and E. coli in the laboratory, which sparked his keen interest in biochemistry. After graduation, he spent many years working in the industry related to bacterial infections and raw materials for infection therapies.
